This morning I was speaking with a friend. This afternoon she has a long overdue appointment for her mammogram. This is one of several long overdue medical check ups on her list. She's one of those people who takes care of others and puts herself last.
I thought that it was because of my gentle, loving, persuasive skills that she was getting on the right track.
But, it turns out that her son had threatened her, that should anything happen to her he would put her in a nursing home with instructions to the staff that she wear dresses every day, (hasn't worn a dress since 5th grade) and that her beloved sneaker collection be within sight, but out of reach. Her worst nightmare! LOL
